This file describes the "standard NetJam drum mappings". It is available as xcf.Berkeley.EDU(128.32.138.1):misc/netjam/doc/drum_maps. These mappings seem to be portable enough to machines other than the HR-16, on which they were developed. The sounds are, of course, open to tweaking for each piece. These mappings come from the NetJam submission "Close Enough for Jazz" (closenuf_1), which, I think, makes a good submission example. pad: MIDI note sound: note name: --- ---- ----- ----- (click) 24 C0 agogo tom 1 37 C#1 10" dbl head tom tom 2 38 D1 14" dbl head tom tom 3 39 D#1 16" pwr floor tom tom 4 40 E1 ride cymbal bell ride 41 F1 crash cymbal (pitch = +7) crash 42 F#1 crash cymbal (pitch = 0) perc 1 43 G1 crash cymbal (pitch = -5) perc 2 44 G#1 ride cymbal kick 45 A1 24" power kick snare 46 A#1 ambient wood snare cls hat 47 B1 closed hi-hat A mid hat 48 C2 half-open hi-hat open hat 49 C#2 foot closed hat claps 50 D2 low conga slap perc 3 51 D#2 rimshot snare perc4 52 E2 drum sticks As always, let me know of any questions or comments.
